Britishers not only done all things that was unfavourable for India.
But also some reforms were made by them.
• Sati Practice was abolished to encourage remarriage of widows.
• They also focus on setting up Christian missionaries, also provided
land and property for it.

• In 1850 bruisers started to promote conversion to Christianity. (Hope
you remember one cause of Birsa Munda to follow Vaishnav)
• Britishers imposed tax on land on which temples and museum were
built.
• One of the major causes of revolt was the fear of people towards fall of
their religious customs.
